A: Bachelor of technology is an undergraduate academic conferred after the completion of a three or four year program of studies at an accredited university or accredited university degree level college in the common wealth of nations Norway republic of Ireland, the United States and other country. The common abbreviation for bachelor of technology is B.TECH or B.TECH (HONS.) if awarded with Honours.
The degree is awarded to those who have undertaken bachelor to science degree program supplemented by either occupational placement (e.g supervised practical or interships) or practice - based class room cources. Due to the supplemental requirements the degree nomally takes at kast four years. An admission into a cource for the degree of bachelor of engineering must have H.Sc examination conducted by the higher secondary education board in science streem. A student having passed the diploma of engg. Examination technical examation board ofany state as per the rules and regulation stipulated by the joint admission committee for diploma to degree engineering admission of the state will be ellgible for the admission to the 2nd year of B-Tech of the four year degree course in enginearing Eligibility criteria and Specialization
10+2 examination with physics and maths compulsory subject along with one subject chemeistry/Bio-tecnology/computer science biology with minimum 50% and UPSEE 2010/ATEE 2011 qualified ST/SC & OBC minimum mark- 45%
